Odum- Mr. Allen Woodrow Padon, age 89, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Golden Living Center in Jesup after an extended illness. He was born March 26, 1919 in Orchard, Texas. Mr. Allen was a member of the Insulators and Asbestos Workers Union Local 22, an avid hunter and fisherman and a Baptist by faith.
He is survived by his wife Lillian DeLoach Padon of Odum; step-daughter: Judee Mobley of Odum; three step-sons: Maron DeLoach and wife Cheryl of Jesup, Mike DeLoach and wife Pat of Odum, and Bobby DeLoach of Jesup; step-grandchildren: Michael DeLoach, Meliea DeLoach, Joy Mobley, Seth Mobley and Joe Mobley; step-greatgrandchildren: Ellie, Carly and Reece Mobley and Daelen DeLoach; one special niece: Elsie and husband Glenn Davis of Brazoria, Texas; special family friend Mr. and Mrs. Wahren Massey and other family members also survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 29, 2008 at 4:00 pm from the James R. Gordon Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jack Lee officiating. Interment will follow Friday, January 2, 2008 in the Damon Cemetery in Damon, Texas.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Active Pallbearers will be step-grandchildren.
