HASSE, William W. age 87 of Waldwick, NJ formerly of Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ died Wednesday December 24, 2008. Survived by his former wife Eleanor (nee: Nelson). Devoted father of William N. Hasse and wife Mary Ann, Gary Hasse and wife Faye. Dear brother of Harold Hasse. Loving grand father of three and great grandfather of three. He is also survived by his extended family, Lou and Barbara Kahn and their daughters Debbie and Diana. William honorably served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army and was a decorated veteran and tank commander with the 11th Armored Division in ETO. He battled through Europe and helped free prisoners from the Mauthausen Concentration Camp. He was a lifelong butcher and was the owner of Bill Hasse Exclusively Prime Meats in Teaneck, NJ. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Volk Leber Funeral Home – Teaneck, NJ. Funeral is private with a memorial service to be announced for a future date.
