Obituary

TAUNTON - Antone Machado, 83, of Raynham, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Morton Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Adeline (Pedro) Machado, married 61 years; and son of the late Leon and Isabella (Nicholau) Machado.
He was born in Raynham and lived in Taunton before moving back 44 years ago. He was employed at Paul A. Dever State School for 33 1/2 years, and then was a Raynham Firefighter for 9 years.
After retirement, he worked part-time for Lucini Bus Co.
He was a World War II veteran and received two Purple Hearts among other medals.
He was an avid bowler for many years, and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Elaine Lemmo and her husband James of Lakeville; a son, Daniel Machado and his wife June A. Watts Machado of Taunton; a granddaughter, Kimberly Marsden of Taunton; 2 sisters Mary Alexander and her husband Bill, and Delvina Perry and her husband Dave, all of Taunton; 4 brothers, Leon Machado and his wife Nancy of Wildwood, FL, Dennis Machado, Joseph Machado and his wife Joanne, and Alfred Machado and his wife Gloria, all of Raynham; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the great-grandfather of the late Logan Joseph Watts, and the brother of the late Evelyn Paille, Helen Silvia, Florence Frates, and Edward, Raymond, John, and Manuel Machado.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday, Dec. 29th at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Ann Church, Raynham at 9 a.m. Burial will be at Cedar Knoll Cemetery, E. Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
