John R. LaHair, 76, of Leicester passed away Tuesday, December 23.
He leaves two sons, John P. LaHair of Worcester; Stephen P. LaHair and his wife, Astrid of Kingsport, TN; and a daughter, Cheryl A. LaHair of Charlton; three granddaughters Katrina, Breanna, and Olivia; four brothers; Howard LaHair and his wife, Marilee of Worcester, Fred LaHair and his wife, Barbara of Charlton, Paul and his wife, Regina of Worcester, Raymond and his wife, Barbara of Cherry Valley; two sisters; Matilda (LaHair) Giedymin of Auburn and Ruth (LaHair) Gaffney and her husband, Robert of Auburn as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers, Norman LaHair, Sr. and Arthur LaHair, Jr. as well as two sisters, Phoebe (LaHair) Comeau and Hazel (LaHair) Foster.
John was born in Leicester, the son of Arthur, Sr. and Ruth (Allen) LaHair. He worked for GF Wright Steel & Wire Company in Worcester for 28 years until his retirement. Among the hobbies he most enjoyed were fishing and cooking for those he loved.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 12Noon in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Leicester. MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester is directing arrangements.
