Mary (Albernaz) Raposa, age 100, passed away December 23, 2008. Widow of John B. Raposa and daughter of the late Jose and Mary (Cordeiro) Miguel Albernaz. She was a lifelong Fall River resident and a retired machine operator in the sewing shops and a weaver in the cotton mills.
She is survived by 2 sons: Andrew R. Raposa of Agawan, MA and Richard J. Raposa of Fall River; 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 12 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Sister of the late Arthur and Joseph Michael, Andrew, Louis, John, Henry and Dorothy Michaels and Alice Medeiros.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. MONDAY AT 10 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 11 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. There are no separate calling hours. Special thanks to the staff of the Fall River Jewish Home for their exceptional care and comfort.
