Kathleen “Kathy” M. Casey, 49, of Abington, died at home on Tuesday December 23rd .She was the daughter of Barbara A. (Curtis) Casey and the late John F. Casey. Kathy was born in Weymouth and was a life time resident of Abington, a graduate of Abington High School. She has been a devoted caretaker for her parents for the past 15 years. Her interests were in Genealogy and doing research on the Internet. Kathy adored animals, especially her cats and her two beagles.
In addition to her mother Barbara, she is leaves her siblings, Jerome Casey of Maine, Judith A. Casey of Abington and Liz Casey of Bridgewater: 10 nieces and nephews and 1 great nephew. She was also the sister of the late John and James Casey.
Her services will be held on Saturday December 27th at 1:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Burial will be in the Mt Vernon Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday from 12:00-1:00PM.Donations may be made in her name to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, Arlington & Tremont St., Box 265, Boston, MA. 02117 or to any Animal Shelter of One’s Choice.
