Louise A. Clark, a lifelong Woburn resident, passed away at the Winchester Hospital, Winchester, on Tuesday, December 23, at the age of 90, She was the wife of the late John W. Clark who died thirteen years ago.
Born and raised in Woburn she was the daughter of the late Susan (Flaherty) and Frank Murphy. She graduated from Woburn High School with the Class of 1935.
Louise worked as a secretary for a number of years at Filene’s Department Store in Boston and later retired from the City of Woburn where she worked in the principals office at Woburn High School. She was an avid reader and a member of the Woburn Library reading club. She also enjoyed ceramics, sewing and being with family on holidays, birthdays and at family gatherings. She died one day short of her ninety-first birthday and was sadly missed this Christmas holiday.
Survivng are her son Mark E. Clark of Woburn, her daughter Susan L. Barrett and her husband Joseph of West Dennis. Two special nieces Judy Donaghey and her husband Bill, Patty Fitzgerald and her husband Leo all of Woburn, Two special nephews Larry Brophy and his wife Ruth of Reading, Fred Brophy and his wife Connie of Rome, NY., also nine loving grand nieces and nephews and six great grand nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband John she was predeceased by her sister Mildred Brophy and her brother Frederick Murphy
Her funeral will be held from the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn on Saturday, December 27, at 11 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St. Woburn at Noon. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
