ANNA M. (MANICK) HARRIS, 89, of Hingham, formerly of Weymouth, died on Sunday, Dec. 21st at the Harbor House Nursing Center in Hingham. She was born in Boston and graduated from Hyde Park High School. In more recent years, she furthered her education at U. Mass., Boston. Mrs. Harris lived in Weymouth for 33 years before coming to Hingham 25 years ago. She was a waitress for many years in area restaurants and a member of the Hingham Women's Club.
She was the wife of the late Kenneth R. Harris, Sr. and mother of Judith S. Derbyshire and her husband Myrle of Hingham and the late Kenneth Harris, Jr. Sister of George Manick of Baltimore, MD, the late Virginia Slauenwhite, Joseph Manick and James Manick. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be conducted on Monday, Dec. 29th at 12 Noon at the First Baptist Church, 85 Main St., Hingham, MA 02043
Visiting hours and flowers omitted by request. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Fund For American Military Personnel, c/o The First Baptist Church of Hingham.
The Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree is to be private.
