SPENCER: Beverly R.(Briggs) Stark,76, of 5 Ledge Ave., died Monday, Dec. 22 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, after a brief illness.
She leaves her husband of 43 years, David Stark, three daughters Debbie Ruiz and her husband Tim of Spencer, Kim Babcock and her husband Glenn of Thompson, Ct., and Holly Sherbourne and her husband Scott of Westchester, Pa., five grand children Diana Landry of Brimfield, Jill Dion of W.Brookfield, Brett and David Sherbourne of Westchester, and Victoria Babcock of Thompson, four great grand children Brooke, Paige and Emma Dion and Stella Buday, three brothers Robert Briggs of Barnstable, Paul "Buddy" Briggs of Boylston and Thomas Briggs of Worcester, two sisters Virginia Stark of Shrewsbury and Joan Geneva of W.Boylston, nieces and nephews.
Born in Shrewsbury, she was the daughter of Fred A. and Mary (Hicks) Briggs and graduated from Shrewsbury High School.
Beverly loved to read, enjoyed a great glass of wine, looked forward to Patriots Football on Sunday afternoon's with her family. She was an avid Red Sox Fan, cheering the Sox onto the World Series. Loved Frank Sinatra music and enjoyed cake decorating.
She was a member of the Spencer Agricultural Association and managed their winter storage program. She was a founding member of the Spencer Snowbirds Snowmobile Club, and a member of the First Congregational Church of Spencer.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 27 at 11a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer.Following cremation burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 26 from 5 to 7p.m. Please omit flowers, contributions may be made to either the First Congregational Church of Spencer, P.O.
