Judith G. (Manoli) Barry, 60 years of Franklin died Sunday December 21, 2008 at her home after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. She was the loving wife of David E. Barry. For the past 3 years she resided in Franklin and previously lived in Raynham for many years. Born and raised in Brockton, Judy was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Goodwin) Manoli and was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1966. Before her illness she had worked at the Christmas Tree Shops in Natick and Hyannis and previous worked at JC Penny at Silver City Galleria in Taunton.
When living in Raynham Judy was the co-founder of the Raynham Youth Softball League and also the Raynham Women’s Softball League and she proudly coached the Raynham traveling softball team. She was a member of the AARP and Temple University Parents Club in Philadelphia. Judy enjoyed watercolor and oil painting, crossword puzzles and working around her home. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed Hawaii and Alaska. She was also a Red Sox and Patriots fan.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a son Mark Barry of So. Dennis, two daughters, Kristen Stoddard of Ashland and Denise Thompson of Glenside, PA, three grandchildren, John C. and Kevin J. Barry both of E. Bridgewater and Katelyn Stoddard of Ashland, two sisters and four brothers, Patricia Easton of FL, Paul Manoli of Raynham, Gary Manoli of NJ, John Manoli of FL, Diane Jiminez of Mansfield, Robert Manoli of Brockton and the late Steven Manoli. Judy also leaves many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 11am with visitation 10 to 11 am. Please omit flowers.
