Bradenton, FL - Barbara T. (Rowley) Capua, age 77, died unexpectedly at her Court West home in Bradenton on Monday, December 22. She was the wife of Angelo J. Capua, who died in 2001.
She was born in Arlington, December 13, 1931, a daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Bruchette) Rowley, and was raised in Arlington. She had lived in Tewksbury from 1962 until moving to Bradenton in 2004.
As a resident of Tewksbury she was active in St. William's Parish, and along with her husband, was a Friday night regular at Blitz held at the Parish Hall.
She was described by her family as a loving and devoted wife and mother.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara Ann (Capua) Asadoorian of Hudson, NH, Rosemary (Capua) Sailus and her husband Andrew of Brockport, NY; a son, John M. Capua of Bradenton, FL; a sister, Dorothy Jeffery of Warwick, RI; nine grandchildren, Joel and Joy Asadoorian, Monica, Rebecca, and Cherie Sailus, James J. and Christina Capua, and Jason and Stephen Capua; a great grandson, Nicholas Asadoorian; her former daughters-in-law, Deborah (Halamoutis) Capua of Pembroke Pines, FL, and Karen (Ash) Capua of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also mother of the late Mark S. Capua; and sister of the late James, William, Ralph, Leo Rowley, and Mary (Rowley) Tucci.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, Dec. 29, in St. William's Church, Tewksbury. Burial followed in Tewksbury Cemetery. Memorials to the American Heart Asson., 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701 will be appreciated.
