Amelia L. Gustavson

TEWKSBURY - Amelia L. (Letasz) Gustavson, age 101, died Sunday, December 21, at the North Reading home of her granddaughter following a long period of declining health and mobility. She was the beloved wife for 56 years of Arvid H. Gustavson, who died in 1985.
She was born in Boston on July 17, 1907, the daughter of Sadie Letasz. She resided in Holden the greater part of her live and moved to her daughters home in North Tewksbury in her later years.
She was described as a woman who's life evolved around her church and her family
She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Mullen of No. Tewksbury; a son and daughter-in-law, Arvid "Gus Gustavson and his wife Shirley of Silver Lake, NH; a son-in-law, Dr. Pete Amsden of Cape Cod; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
She was also mother of the late Sylvia Amsden; sister of the late Helen Rogers; and great grandmother of the late Robert Levesque.
Her Funeral Service was held on Saturday, December 27, in the funeral home. A Springtime burial will be held in Grove Cemetery, Holden. Memorials to the Merrimack Valley, VNA Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Bldg. 9, Lawrence, MA 01843 will be appreciated.
