Worcester—Francis K. Moy, 87, formerly of Birmingham Road, died Sunday, December 21, 2008, in the Holy Trinity Nursing Home. His wife of 47 years, Theresa (Ho Wai Mui) Moy, predeceased him. He leaves a sister, Betty and her husband Paul Huang of NJ, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Moy and sisters Hazel Louie and Edith Young.
He was born in Worcester, son of Yuen Shee and Shee Wing Moy. Francis was a Graduate of Classical High School, Class of 1942. He was a Marine Corps Veteran of both WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of Greendale People’s Church, Central Mass Amateur Radio Assn., Mohegan Council BSA (Advisor for Explorer Post #73), and the Worcester Civil Defense. He was part owner of Hong Fong Restaurant.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 2, 2009. A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Greendale People’s Church, 25 Francis St., Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of Mohegan Council BSA, 19 Harvard St., Worcester MA 01609. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. is directing arrangements.
