Obituary

Anna M. (Breton) Loiselle, age 86, died Saturday Dec. 20, 2008 at her home in Dracut after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Lucien Loiselle who passed away in 1984.

She was born in Lowell on April 16, 1922 the daughter of the late Oxeliphas and Vitaline (Martineau) Breton. Anna received her education through Lowell Catholic schools. She was a communicant of Ste. Jeanne d'Arc Parish and more recently with The Parish of St. Rita.

Anna was employed in several lines of work. When she retired, She volunteered as a foster grandparent at the Brookside School in Dracut. While there, she helped Mrs. Cook and Mrs. Porcello with the children. Anna loved every minute of being in school and she made many friends with the teachers and staff. She would tell everyone it was the best job she ever had.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Susanne and Raymond Lagasse with whom she resided in Dracut; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Helene Loiselle of Westford and Richard and Lisa Loiselle of Lowell; a son-in-law, Archille Lagasse of Dracut; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Rita and Edmond Carpentier of FL, Anita and Frank Prescott of NH, Simone and Robert Gregoire of CA, Georgette Cote of VA, and Noela and Leon Deninger of FL; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Willie and Mafalda Breton of Dracut, Raymond and Irene Breton of NH, Conrad and Jacqueline Breton of FL, Robert and Barbara Breton of NH, Leo and Penny Breton of AZ, Victor and Marilyn Breton of NH; three sisters-in-law, Aline West, Doris Loiselle and Betty Loiselle; 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Joanne (Loiselle) Lagasse who passed away in 1998, sister of the late Claire Villemaire who died in 2004.

Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Tuesday, Dec. 23 from 4 to 8pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock at the Holy Family Parish (Ste. Marie Church) S. Lowell. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ste Jeanne d'Arc School Memorial Fund, 68 Dracut Street, Lowell, MA 01854.
