Karan Gautam Desai of Dedham passed away on December 19, 2008 at the age of 20.
Karan was born on October 5, 1988 to parents Gautam and Deval Desai. He was a beloved son and a caring brother to sister Tulsi. He was raised in Dedham, MA and attended Brimmer and May School and was in his 3rd year in college. As a child, he was quite the “momma’s boy” and spent most of his time running after her. He would break the decorations on the Christmas tree and always cause some kind of mischief with an innocent smile on his face. He was a very sweet and enthusiastic boy. Wherever he went his sense of humor would always bring a smile to the faces of his friends and family. Growing up he spent most of his time playing basketball which became one of his favorite things to do. He took an interest in math and science and became a pro at most computer and Nintendo games. At home his charismatic nature would fill the room with laughter and his enthusiasm for life and always having a good time would win you over. He was so pure of heart and a simple person. The small things mattered to him the most, like time spent with his family and friends even if it was just watching TV together. He never thought badly of anyone and was simply a really good-hearted boy. There are no words that will ever describe his loss and not a day will ever pass by where he won’t be in our thoughts. The twenty years of his life and memories he left with us will be treasured in our hearts forever. We love you so much and will miss you dearly.
May he rest in peace.
A visiting hour was held at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home Tuesday December 23, 2008, followed by a Funeral Service at the Lucy Stone Chapel of Forest Hills Crematory.
