Ella Jeanette (Boussy) Doherty of Quincy died on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Hancock Park in Quincy. She was 98 years old. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Gertrude (Quinn) Boussy. In 1942, Mrs. Doherty married her late husband and in 1945 they moved to Quincy. She was one of the initial typists sent to Baltimore to help establish the Social Security Administration. She worked for Social Security as an assistant to the claims administrator. The beloved wife of the late Eugene J. Doherty, she was the loving mother of Priscilla Cahn of Needham, Elizabeth M. Doherty of North Weymouth and Philip E. Doherty and his wife Maureen of Monument Beach. Sister of the late Mary Quinn, Frederick Boussy, Harold Boussy, Evelyn Kornmuller and Helen Nelson. Dear grandmother of Mari, Michele, Richard and Mark and great grandmother of Madelyn, Ryan and Kristen. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Wednesday, December 24 at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 10AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
