Mr. Richard D. Benton, of Taunton, died Tuesday, December 16 in the Radius
Rehabilitation Hospital, Boston, following a lengthy illness. He was born 68 years
ago in Middleboro, the son of the late Ernest W. and Irene J. (Black) Benton. He
was educated in Middleboro and had been a Taunton resident for many years. Prior
to his retirement, he had been employed by Labor Ready in Taunton for several years.
Mr. Benton had served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed visiting Capron Park in Attle-
boro.
He leaves a dear friend, Marlene Aviles of Taunton.
Funeral services and interment will be private. Visiting Hours are omitted. Arrange-
ments are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
