Obituary

Arlette Marie Wouters, 75, Clarksville, died Friday, December 19, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Father David Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from noon until the hour of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born September 19, 1933 in France, daughter of Norman and Henriette Chapron Berg. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John E. Wouters, and one son John Norman Wouters. She was a member of St. Michaels Archangel Catholic Church. Mrs. Wouters met and married her husband and friend,John, when he was serving in the military while stationed in France. They married and moved to America. She was proud to be a military wife and mother. She worked for the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. She was very proud to be a volunteer for the Red Cross, the Montgomery County Public Library's children's section, and the Ft. Campbell Library's children's section. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Wouters of Cortland, NY.; Janice Hutchins (Steve) of Woodbridge, VA.; Carole Wouters of Spring Hill, FL.; one brother, Arne Berg (Jeannine) of France; four grandchildren, Christopher Wouters, Jeremy Wouters, Michael Burch, and Yvonne Shay; four great-grandchildren, Hailee Wouters-VanSlyke, Gabriel Shay-Torres, Andrea Torres, and Olivia Shay. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Red Cross, the Montgomery County Public Library, or to St. Michaels Archangel Catholic Church, 448 State Line Road, Oak Grove, KY 42262.
