Lorene E. Pitts, 94, Sullivans Island, S.C. formerly of Clarksville, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2009, at her sons residence, Sullivans Island, S.C.. The funeral will be held at 11am Tuesday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Brother Roy Goodmiller and Brother Steve Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 P.M. until 7 P.M. Monday and from 9 A.M. until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born July 13, 1914 in Clarksville, daughter of Herbert Evans and Nora Crotzer Evans. She was married to Thomas Terry Pitts.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She was a member of Hilldale Church of Christ and was a seamstress. She is survived by one son Terry Pitts of Sullivans Island, S.C. and one sister Martha Holt of Clarksville and seven grandchildren. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
