Obituary

WILMINGTON - Daniel W. Surrette, 42, of Wilmington, died Tuesday morning in the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Burlington. He was the husband of Deborah M. (Brien) Surrette with who he shared 19 years.

Born in Lowell on February 21, 1966, he was a son of Janet (Magee) Surrette of Wilmington and the late Walter Surrette Jr. He received his education in the Wilmington school system and was a graduate of Wilmington High School class of 1984. He also earned a certificate in computer graphics from the University of Massachusetts Lowell campus.

Mr. Surrette had been employed for 25 years at Dynamics Research Corp in Andover. First as a printer and then as a multi media computer graphics specialist.

Daniel was a passionate fisherman enjoying ice fishing, bass fishing as well as fresh water and deep sea fishing. He was also one of the founders of the Goat Boys Fishing Organization. Additionally, in his early years he was a disc jockey and owned and operated Night Moves until 2005.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three sons Anthony Cardoza, Christopher Cardoza and his dog Sterling all of Jaffrey, NH, and Shawn Surrette of Wilmington; a sister Karen Skavicus and her husband Al Skavicus of Nashua, NH; three brothers Fredrick Campbell of E. Boston, Arthur Campbell of Peabody, and Walter Surrette and his wife Kathy Slate of Peabody; two sisters-in-law Deanne Fone and her husband Donald of Dracut, and Dawn Vachon and her husband Mark of Tyngsboro; one brother-in-law Daniel Brien and his wife Kristen of Allenstown, NH; his mother-in-law Donna Keefe of Allenstown, NH; several nieces and nephews; and many dear and close friends. He was also the father of the late Savannah Jolene Surrette, brother-in-law of the late Darlene Brien and son-n-law of the late Joseph Keefe.

Friends may call at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Sunday from 1 until 5 PM. His Funeral will be held from the funeral home on Monday at 9 AM followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Dracut.
