New Bedford – Antonio De Medeiros aged 83 years, died December 17, 2008 at Brandon Woods of New Bedford after a long Illness. He was the husband of Maria (Tavares) De Medeiros of New Bedford. Mr. DeMedeiros was the father of Carlos Medeiros and Dolores Medeiros both of New Bedford. He was the grandfather of Christopher Medeiros. H was the brother of George Medeiros and Ilda Camara both of Canada. He is also survived by several nieces and nephew.
Mr. De Medeiros was the son of the late Manuel and Maria Conceicao De Medeiros. He was born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal and he lived in this area since 1966. He worked as an assembler for a Medical Supply Co.
Mr. De Medeiros’s Funeral is from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. on Monday at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial is at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 5 - 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
