TEWKSBURY - Joseph W. Tierney, 59, died Dec. 28, at the Tewksbury Hospital after a lengthyillness.
He was born in Cambridge, son of Joseph and Jean (Dombrowski) Tierney. He lived in Bedford,Mass. the greater part of his life.
During the Vietnam War, he served in the US Navy.
He was employed by the US Postal Service in Boston as a mail handler.
He is survived by one sister, Sandra J. Lauer of San Raphael, CA, and aunt and uncle, Frank andGloria (Hall) Dombrowski of Gilmanton, NH, and several cousins.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, Jan. 12, in the Chapel at TewksburyHospital. Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, W. Roxbury. Memorials to the Tewksbury Hospital “Bus Fund” 365East St. Tewksbury, MA 01876 will be appreciated.
