Maria Leontina de Frias Bizarro, age 61, passed away December 17, 2008. Wife of Antonio Araujo and daughter of Maria do Rosario (Frias) Teles and the late Manuel de Sousa Bizarro. Born in Agua de Alto, Sao Miguel, Azores, she resided in Fall River for the last 6 years. She was a retired personal care assistant, worked in Housekeeping at the Paul A. Devers School and in the Kitchen at Jimmy’s Restaurant in Taunton. She was a parishioner of St. Michael Church.
Besides her husband of the Azores and mother of Taunton, she is survived by 5 children: Hilarina Costa and Natercia Ponte, both of Portugal, Zelia Da Ponte, Carla Cunha and Humberto Ambrosia, all of Fall River, step-father Joao Teles of Taunton, 9 siblings, 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Saturday at 7:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church, Essex St. at 8:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 4-8 P.M.
