Mona M. (Schmidt) Statires, 73, of Manchester, died December 16, 2008, at her home, after a long illness.
She was born in Manchester, September 6, 1935, and was the daughter of Harry F. and Marion (Descoteaux) Schmidt.
For many years Mona worked in the bakery of the family business the Diamond “C”market at Hampton Beach. She was very active at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, serving as secretary, participated in Glendi, and was a member of the Anagennesis Ladies Society.
Family members include her daughter; Lynn Kram, of CO; a son Gregory Statires, of Manchester; a sister, Vena Saheed, of MA; a brother, Raymond Schmidt, of Hooksett; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, Manchester will be Thursday from 4 to 7o’clock, with the Trisagion service at 5 o’clock.
The funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 o’clock at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 650 Hanover St, Manchester.
Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
