Sarah Bertha Ann Jones McPeake, 94, Clarksville, died Monday, December 15, 2008, at Sterling House Assisted Living. The funeral will be held at 2 pm Friday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Rev. Hubert Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from noon until the hour of the service Friday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born March 5, 1914 in Big Sandy, TN daughter of the late Robert Jones and Octavie Cole Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Finis McPeake, three brothers, Aroe Jones, Travis Jones, and Garland Jones; two sisters, Nell Pierce,and Clara Rushing, and one grandchild, Kenny Hawkins. Ms McPeake retired from civil service after over thirty years as a seamstress. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Obera Williard, Clarksville; and Avieoun Hawkins, Big Rock, TN; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; and caregiver, Bonnie Deason. Pallbearers will be Kellen Williard, James Hawkins, Carl Kenyon, Jason Page, Brian Hawkins, and Kevin Hawkins.
