Peggy A. (Dock) Holfelder, 80, formerly of Franklin, died Monday, December 15, 2008 at her son’s home in Cumberland, RI where she resided for the past year. She was the wife of Robert G. Holfelder who died in 2007.
Born in Cleveland, OH on March 30, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Melva (Andrews) Dock. Peggy was a resident of Franklin from 1972 and 1985 until moving to Amherst, OH where she lived until 2007. She graduated from Lorain High School in Lorain, OH and the Oberlin School of Business.
While living in Franklin, Peggy was an active member and choir director at the Franklin Federated Church. She was also involved with the Community Concert Association, and the Newcomer’s Club, and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by; three daughters, Lee Holfelder of Blackstone, Lynn Mukavitz of Sheboygan, WI and Lori Edsall of Plainville, her son, Robert of Cumberland, RI and four granddaughters.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday, December 18 at 8 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday evening prior to the service from 5 – 8 p.m.
Burial will take place in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst, Ohio at a later date.
