Ethel M. DeMeo, 85 of Medford, died Monday at Wingate at Andover. She was the beloved wife of the late Nichloas L. DeMeo. She was born in Medford, the daughter of the late William and Mae (Mitchell) Goss. A lifelong Medford resident, she is a graduate of Medford High School, class of 1942. She was a member of the friendship group of the Medford Methodist Church. She loved to crochet, bowl and spend time with her grand and great grandchildren. She was a member of the P.A.V. in Cambridge. She also traveled with 208th Field Artillery which she belonged to with her late husband. She was well liked and easy going. She had a calming and demure personality which would put you instantly at ease. She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Ribeiro and her husband Ken of North Reading and a son Nicholas L. DeMeo Jr. and his wife Donna of Tewksbury. Loving Grandmother of Michael and Danny DeMeo, Nicole Donoghue, JeanMarie, Christine and Jessie Ribeiro. Loving Great Grandmother of Christopher, Miranda, Timmy, Jillian, Lacey and Gianna DeMeo, Sean, Brenna and Claire Donoghue. Sister of Ruth Lewis of VT, Lorraine Wilson of Hudson, William Goss of FL. and the late Dorothy Bacon and her twin sister, Edith Wilson. A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
