Margaret F. “Peggy” (Griffin) Wynne of Reading and Peabody, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center.
Born in Reading, Peggy was the loving daughter of the late James J. Griffin and Beatrice M. (Fitzgerald) Griffin. Peggy graduated from Reading High School in 1940. She was a 45 year employee of New England Telephone & Telegraph.
Peggy was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, aunt and friend. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Peggy was the beloved wife of the late Francis Wynne. She was the dear sister of Joseph F. Griffin of Reading, Dr. Gerald R. Griffin and his wife Jane of Andover and the late James Griffin and Beatrice Kody. Peggy was the Loving aunt of Maureen Kody of NV, Nancy Wood of Peabody and the late Michael Kody. She was the Great Aunt of Scott Kody of N. Andover and Jeffrey Kody of CA. Peggy was the Dear Friend of Gerry McHale of Stoneham.
Funeral from the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Friday at 8 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Peggy’s life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading at 9 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Thursday from 2-5 pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot on Linden St. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
