Obituary

Jesup- Mr. Roy W. Graham, 87, died Monday, December 15, 2008 at his residence under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. He was a native of Laurens County, Georgia and had lived in Jesup for 54 years. He was a veteran of World War II , a retired chemical operator from Rayonier, Inc. and enjoyed camping and gardening. He was a member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church in Jesup and the S.L. Mills Sunday School class.

Survivors are his wife, Thera D. Graham of Jesup; one daughter, Pam Hanks of Statesboro; one son and daughter-in-law Michael and Susan Graham of Jesup; two sisters, Frances Scarborough of Kathleen and Nellie Miller of Marietta; one brother, Harold Graham of Dublin; six grandchildren, ten great -grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2008 beginning at 6:00 P.M at the Howard-Jones-Nobles Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 18, 2008 from the Calvary Baptist Church in Jesup with Rev, Vann Dempsey and Rev. Stanley Todd officiating. Burial will follow in the George Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Bill Tyre, Jr., Tommy Hires, Bobby Hughes, Ron Wasdin, George Moody, and Lee Waters.
Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Hospice of South Georgia, the S.L. Mills Sunday School class, and Ben Cathy and Asher Cathy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 411 E. Cherry St. Jesup, Ga. 31546 or to Hospice of South Georgia Building Fund, 117 Drennon Drive, Jesup, Ga. 31545
