Louise L. Michaud, 97, of Railroad St., Manville, died Sunday at Oakland Grove Health Center in Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Albini Michaud to whom she was married on Nov. 9th 1931 and who died in 1993.
Born in Maskinonge, P.Q. Canada, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lucie (Boucher) Adam. She was raised in Canada and came to the U.S. as a young woman.
Mrs. Michaud was a homemaker and a longtime communicant of St. James Church in Manville.
Louise loved her family and had a special affection for her cats. She used her sharp wit to make those around her laugh, and will be remembered as a courteous, generous, and loyal person.
She is survived by two daughters, Doris Robidoux, of Manville, and Noella B. Bessette, and her husband Normand, of Cumberland, and a son-in-law George Perron. She was the mother of the late Leona Perron, and sister of the late Josephat, Charles, Telesphore, and Ernest Adam. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and her 3 sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews in Canada.
Her funeral will be Friday at 9:00 am from the Menard Funeral Home, 71 Central St., Manville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. James Church, Division St., Manville. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville. Visiting hours are Thursday from 5-8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc.
