GLOUCESTER: Linda S. (Pratt) Grace, 49, of 30 Green Street died Saturday, December 13, 2008, in the Addison Gilbert Hospital surrounded by her family.
Born in Gloucester on March 21, 1959, she was the beloved daughter of Dorothy J. (Merchant) Croft and the late Philip A. Pratt. She was a lifelong resident of Gloucester and attended Gloucester public schools.
She enjoyed listening to music, especially the Beatles. Linda was a wonderful person with a big heart for others. She loved spending time with her mother and her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her stepfather, William Croft, two daughters, Cristy Lee Grace and Kerry P. Arsenault, two sons, Robert L. Arsenault and Sonny A. Arsenault, two grandsons, James and Zachary, two sisters, Dawn Sutherland and Jesse Pratt, three brothers, Michael Pratt, Mark, husband of Beate Pratt of Missouri and Phil Brenner. She also leaves her grandmother, Marge Merchant, her aunt, Faye, wife of Frank Maguire, her great-aunt and godmother, Virginia Doane, as well as many nieces and nephews, including her special nephew, Billy Reed, who was a great help to her in her final days. She was also predeceased by her lifelong companion, Shawn Owen, two sisters, Terry A. Reed and Debra Jean (Pratt) Pearce, her grandparents, Sumner and Jeanette Merchant, Aubert and Pauline Pratt, her nephew, Zachary Middleton and her beloved dog, Tuffy.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday morning in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 - 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be held privately in the Beechbrook Cemetery.
