Mr. Roger R. Courcy, of Taunton, died Sunday, December 14, in Morton Hospital
following several years of declining health. He was the husband of Theresa V. (Cyr) Courcy. He was born 85 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late Silvio and Irene (Bourque) Courcy. He was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident.
Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as stockroom manager for New England
Telephone for 33 years, retiring from A.T. & T. in 1985. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, where he served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre, seeing action in the Saipan Campaign. Mr. Courcy was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, the International Brotherhood of Telephone Workers, and the Ligue du Sacre Coeur. A devoted family man, he enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family. He was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Parish (formerly St. Jacques Church).

Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street,
on Thursday, December 18 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St.
Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall
River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Wed-
nesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Expressions of sympathy in his memory in his memory may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 19 Kilton St., Taunton, Ma., 02780.
