Florence (Everton) Scott, 83, of Plymouth, passed away December 6, 2008 after a short illness.
Florence is survived by her brother, Frank A. Everton of Wilbraham, MA; her niece, Judy L. Higginbottom, and her husband Peter, of Hanover, MA; her nephews Brian D. Everton of St. Albans, VT., and Robert F. Everton and his wife Maria of Stow, MA, and several great nieces and nephews. She also leaves two special friends, Millie Dean and Ruth Bloodworth, both of Plymouth.
Florence graduated from Weymouth High School, Weymouth MA, class of 1942.
Flo worked for many years for the Ocean Spray Cranberry Company before she retired. In retirement, she was President of the Plymouth AARP, and was a member of the Plymouth Golden Age Club, and the Plymouth Friends of the Council on Aging.
She loved to read, loved to socialize, especially with her friends at High Cliff Apartments, and loved nature – feeding birds and squirrels was a highlight!
A Service of Remembrance will be held on January 17, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the High Cliff Apartments, 23 Prince St, Plymouth. Donations in her memory may be made to Old Colony Elderly Services, 144 Main St., Brockton, MA. 02301
