Obituary

Frank J. Castagnetti, age 78 of Medford, died Saturday in the Courtyard Nursing Care Center of Medford, following a lengthy illness. Born in Italy, he was the son of the late Andrew and the late Corenda (Zucchi) Castagnetti. He was a Medford resident for over fifty years formerly of Boston´s North End. He worked for many years as a machinist for the Raytheon Company, retiring in 1995, and also worked part time as a bartender at the Mosley´s Ballroom Dance Hall in Dedham. Mr. Castagnetti was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and was an avid Red Sox fan, but his greatest joy was being with his grandchildren.

Mr. Castignetti is survived by his beloved wife Mary (Berri) and thier two sons, David A. Castagnetti and his wife Ann of Bethesda, MD, and John Castagnetti of Medford. He is also survived by two loving grandsons, Andrew and Ben Castagnetti. Brother of Edith Castignetti of Winchester, Victor Castagnetti of Arlington, VA, the late Mary Solari, Celia Marubbi, Paul and Bill Castagnetti.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, Wednesday, at 10 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St. Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
