LOWELL—Lisa M. Roy, 41 years old, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening, December 10th , at her home.
She was born in Lowell, on March 14, 1967, a daughter of Francois R. Roy and the late Alice H. Mahoney, and was a graduate of Lowell High School and Middlesex Community College.
For many years she worked in child care in the Greater Lowell area. She also worked with the disabled. She was a participant of Team Hope in the battle against Immune Deficiency.
Surviving her besides her father are a daughter: Stacey L. Roy, and her friend Robert Koller, of Lowell; a sister and brother-in-law: Katherine M., and Bob Ward, of Lowell; a brother and sister-in-law: David J., and Connie Roy, of Tewksbury; six nieces: Melissa, Laura and Elizabeth Ward; and Alexa, Haleigh and Sierra Roy; a grandnephew: Garrett Piper; and a dear friend: Sandi Brannelly.
Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 AM on Tuesday December 16th at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Mass to follow at 11 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery.
