A. Julia Lord, 77, of Londonderry, NH died Saturday December 13, 2008 in the Tuft’s Medical Center, Boston, MA. Julia was born in Derry, NH on July 9, 1931, daughter of Richard S. and Ethel A. (Chase) Gurley. She had lived in Londonderry for the past 20 years, formerly living in Derry. She had retired in 1991 from AT & T in North Andover, MA where she had worked for 25 years. She was a member of the VFW Post 1617 Ladies Auxillary and the American Legion Lester Chase Post #9 Ladies Auxillary both of Derry.
She is survived by her son, Charles Gurley of Manchester, NH, one brother, Benjamin Gurley of Stark, NH, also several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation a memorial service was held on Thursday, December 18th at 1:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. The burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry.
