Obituary

Kealous Hall, 92, of Tifton died Saturday, December 13, 2008, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Chris Ramsey, Rev. Billy Sumner and Rev. Bill Barksdale will officiate with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Mike Hall, Brad Hall, Timmy Hall, Terry Hall, Gene Fardel, Damon Griffin, Kevin Hall, Stan Mercer and Randall Moore will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Harmon Marchant, Stanley Arrington, Sonny House, Charles Hall, Tony Hall, Kenneth Moore, Lonnie Boyd and Robbie McBrayer. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 15, 2008, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Mr. Hall was born on March 11, 1916 in Ben Hill County and was the son of Joseph Cleve Hall and Emmie Pitts Hall, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Annie Pearl Pitts Hall, to whom he was married for 65 years; his daughter, Annette Hall Griffin; two grandchildren; three brothers; and four sisters. He was a retired farmer and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He devoted his whole life to his family and he will be greatly missed.

Mr. Hall is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Franklin and Sue Hall of Camilla; Billy and Beth Hall of Tifton, and Carl and Debora Hall of Tifton; one son-in-law, Nelson Griffin of Tifton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Earline and Willie Moore of Tifton, Qunnette and Buster Mercer of Tifton, and Dianne and Phil Dominy of Tifton; two sisters, Macy Fogarty of Ocoee, Florida, and Grace Denby of Newton; 18 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren.
