Frank J. Griffin, 84, of Londonderry, NH died Friday, December 12, 2008 at his home. Mr. Griffin was born in Nashua, NH on August 10, 1924, son of the late Frank J. and Anna L. (Sullivan) Griffin, Jr., and was a lifelong resident of Londonderry. He was a graduate of Nashua High School, Class of 1942. He was a lifelong farmer. Mr. Griffin was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council in Derry, NH and was a member of St. Mark Church in Londonderry.
He is survived by his wife, Rita J. Griffin of Londonderry; four sons, Frank J. Griffin and his wife MariEllen, Michael J. Griffin, John J. Griffin and his wife Maureen, and Thomas J. Griffin and his wife Patricia, all of Londonderry; nine grandchildren, Patrick, Kelsey, Sean, Erin, Kelley, Ryan, Bethany, Shayla and Kevin; and one sister, Louise Cahill and her husband Jack of Londonderry and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Fred Griffin.
Calling hours were held on Monday, December 15, 2008 from 4 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00am in St. Mark Church, corner of South Rd. and Mammoth Rd. in Londonderry. The burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery in Londonderry.
