Edward E. Hewson, 57, of Lane Rd., Chester, NH, died Friday, May 2, 2003, at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry after a brief illness. He was born in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, on September 26, 1945, a son of the late William B. and Marjorie (Fanjoy) Hewson. He was a resident of Chester for the past 27 years, formerly living in Windham. Mr. Hewson was a US Navy Vietnam veteran. He was a graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL where he received his bachelor degree, and a graduate of Stetson University in DeLand, FL where he received his Masters degree. Mr. Hewson was self employed as a Financial Management Consultant for over 30 years. He was a past president of the Gun Owners of NH. He was active in flying and boating in NH.
He is survived by his wife, Diana W. (Pierce) Hewson of Chester, his sister, Dorothy Hewson of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, his brother, W. Donald Hewson of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, and one niece, Carly Hewson.
There are no calling hours. At Mr. Hewson’s request, he will be cremated. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust, RT 4, Rangeley, ME 04970. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
