Barbara C. (Cullinane) Hunt, died peacefully on December 9, 2008 surrounded by her family.
Barbara was born, raised and lived as a lifelong Reading resident. She attended Pearl Street, Parker Jr. High and graduated Reading High - Class of 1950. Barbara retired from Marshalls in Woburn
Barbara is survived by Thomas, her husband of 54 years, and their four children Cynthia, Thomas, Timothy and Daniel. She is also survived by her brothers Charles and Timothy Cullinane. Barbara was the cherished grandmother of Amanda Bacon, Stephen Hunt, Andrea Hunt and the late Russell Hunt.
Barbara loved shopping for her grandchildren Russell, Stephen, Amanda and Andrea and enjoyed Tai Chi, reading, and Irish music. She was energetic, inquisitive, spiritual, generous, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She lived her life with a unique honor and flair. She will be missed by many.
Funeral from the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Monday at 8 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Barbara’s life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn Street, Reading at 9 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Sunday from 1-4 pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot on Linden St. Interment Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
