Obituary

WORCESTER-Paul O. Chabot, 85, of 5 Schussler Road, died Friday, May 2nd in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center. He leaves his wife of 56 years Kathleen M. (Preston) Chabot, 2 sons Robert J. Chabot of Shrewsbury and Paul J. Chabot of Worcester, a sister Pauline Breault of Boylston, 4 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren, several nephews and nieces. His stepfather Frederick Delisle predeceased him.

was born in Quincy the son of Ovila and Mary (Beaulieu) Chabot and had lived in Worcester for many years. Mr. Chabot was a graduate of Commerce High School where he was captain of the hockey team. He had worked as a cable tester for U.S. Steel and Wire for many years, retiring in 1977. Mr. Chabot was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, a charter member of Vernon Hill Post 435, American Legion and had coached local area hockey teams. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling.

funeral will be Monday, May 5th from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 11:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, May 4th, from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.. Flowers may be sent or contributions made to Blessed Sacrament Church, 551 Pleasant Street, Worcester, MA 01602.
