Wilma Jean Hodge, 76, of Tifton died Monday, December 8, 2008, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2008, in Tift Memorial Gardens. Rev. James Irons will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. John Hodge, Andy Webb, Mike Deaton, Andy Hodge, Buddy Moore, Matt Webb and Robin McMillan will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 12, 2008, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 12:00 noon until the hour of the service.
Mrs. Hodge was born on April 19, 1932 in Tullahoma, Tennessee and was the daughter of Robert Deaton and Willie Elizabeth Deaton, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Jackson "Jack" Hodge, two brothers and one sister. She was a homemaker and attended Second Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Hodge is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Freddie and Shirley Hodge of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Martha Gail and Matt Webb of Enigma; two brothers, George Deaton of Weed, California and Donnie Deaton of the Phillipines; three sisters, Dorothy Nowlin of Cleveland, Tennessee, Alva Reu Winfreu of Jacksonville, Florida, and Betty Joe Schmidt of Lake Havasu, Arizona; four grandchildren and their spouses, John and Kelly Hodge, Andy Hodge, Andy Webb, and Chrisie and Robin McMillan; and five great grandchildren.
