Timothy J. Smith, of Fitchburg, formerly of Medford, died Monday in the company of his loving family at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center of Revere. He was 50.
Raised in Medford, Timothy worked as a locksmith with Medford’s Artery Lock for many years. Tim was a man with many interests. He was a Boston sports fan. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. He loved the company of his German Shepherds and built model ships. Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed the company of his friends.
He was the devoted father of Jonathan Smith of Malden. Husband of Maureen (McGurk) Smith. He was the cherished son of Barbara (Dilworth) Saragosa of Medford and her late husband Domenic Saragosa. He was a loving brother of Ken Smith and his wife Suzanne of Medford, Kevin Smith and his wife Robin of Lowell, Donna Solar and her husband Robert of Medford, Paul Smith of Everett. He was the beloved fiancé of Kathleen Johnson of Fitchburg. He also leaves many dear nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting Hours Wednesday 4 – 8.
