Lawrence, MA- Yvette (Bernard) Chrétien, 93,died Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, surrounded by her loving family. Yvette was born in the St. Raphael Province of Quebec, to Archie and Amanda (Roy) Bernard and educated in the Methuen Public School System.
A Longtime resident of Lawrence, Yvette worked for many years at Cardinal Shoe in Lawrence, until her retirement in 1980. Yvette was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish. She enjoyed working with Flowers as well as cooking and spending time with her family.
The widow of Leon J. Chrétien, Yvette will be greatly missed by her children, Claudette Paris Ellenton of FL, Charles and his wife Marie Chrétien of Nashua NH, Eileen J and her Husband John Lannon of Haverhill, James K. and his wife Andrea Chrétien of Lawrence, Dennis T. Chrétien of Lawrence, Gary P. and his wife Carolle Chrétien of Salem, NH. She also leaves behind one sister, Irene Gilman of North Andover, 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Leon J. Chrétien Jr. and a son in-law Roger J. Paris.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and Friends may call on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 from 4-8 Pm at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 10AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/ St. Augustine’s Chapel. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice in Yvette’s name.
