Patrick J. Considine, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died suddenly at his home in Charlestown on Saturday, December 6, 2008. He was 68 years old.
Pat was born in Boston on February 23, 1940. He grew up in Charlestown where he attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1958. Pat was a star football player for the Charlestown Towne Team in the City Park League during the 1960's during which his team won several championships. Pat was a member of The International Longshoreman's Union Local # 799 and worked on the Boston Waterfront for over 25 years. During the 1970's and early 1980's, Pat served as the penalty box keeper during all Boston Bruins home games at The Boston Garden.
Pat is the beloved husband of the late Anne M. (Harkins) Considine. He is the devoted father of Patrick Considine and his wife Karen, Daniel Considine and his wife Kelly, Edward Considine and his wife Peggy, Anne Marie Considine and Steven Considine and his wife Jennifer. He is the loving grandfather of 12 grandchildren. He is the beloved brother of Maureen Stillman and James Considine.
Pat's Funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown, followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, from 3 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
