Alice DeFrancisco,86, of Dartmouth died Thursday December 4, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Lawrence DeFrancisco and Benjamin Grebstein.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joao and Maria (Monteiro) Aires, she lived in Providence and Central Falls, RI, before moving to Florida. She had resided at the Cedars in Dartmouth since last year.
Mrs. DeFrancisco was formerly employed as a film developer for A. Watt & Sons in Providence.
Survivors include a sister, Eva Sylvia of New Bedford; and four nephews, Paul and Peter Sylvia, and Daniel and John Aires.
She was the sister of the late Joshua and Francisco Aires.
Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 12 Noon at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Monday from 6-8 PM. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
