Helen "Sandy" (Sharangowich) McAvoy, 73, of the the Life Care Center of Auburn, formerly of Wachusett St. passed away Fri., Dec. 5 in St. Vincent Hospital.
She leaves her husband of 44 years, John McAvoy; two children,Theresa A. Swanson and her husband John A. of Prospect, CT and Joseph M. Dugan, Jr,; two grandchildren, Joseph Michael and Michael Joseph. She was born in Bridgeport, CT daughter of Harry and Teresa (Yanosy) Sharangowich.
Sandy and her husband managed several campgrounds and they both shared a love of camping and the outdoors. She was an avid fan of the Red Sox and Patriots.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.Arrangements in the care of Callahan & Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester.
