Roy White Cason, 81, of Tifton died Saturday, December 6, 2008, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. in Oak Ridge Cemetery with full military honors. A military chaplain will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 7, 2008, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Cason was born on June 15, 1927 in Pineview (Wilcox County) and was the son of Albert M. Cason and Fannie Mae Blankenship Cason, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond H. Cason and John B. Cason. He was retired from the United States Army; a member of Masonic Lodge #298 in Macon; a member of Marroco and Shrine Temple in Jacksonville, Florida; and a member of Hodges American Legion in Palatka, Florida.
Mr. Cason is survived by his wife, Claudia Mae Crawley Cason of Tifton; one son, Troy Cason of Jacksonville, Florida; and one brother, Albert Rudolph Cason of Long Island, New York.
