Obituary

Joseph A. Charron 90, of Gardiner Rd. Exeter, died Tuesday in South County Hospital. He was the husband of the late Muriel (Cote) Charron and Therese (St. Jean) Charron. Mr. Charron was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Albert and Yvonne (Hebert) Charron. He lived most of his life in Rhode Island, and four years in Colorado.

Mr. Charron worked as a manager for the former Diamond Oil Co. for twenty years retiring in the 1980’s. He was an avid sports enthusiast, with a special love of baseball. He attended umpire school, and spent many years as an umpire for various baseball leagues through out RI.

Mr. Charron is survived by four sons Robert Charron of Aurora, CO, Donald Charron of Bellingham, MA, Mitchell Charron of Richmond, RI, and David Charron of Chepachet, RI, thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

A Committal Service will be held Monday at 10:00 AM in the chapel at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham, followed by burial. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice or the Shady Acres Sunshine Club, 415 Gardiner Rd. West Kingston, RI 02892 in his memory would be appreciated.
