Lawrence, MA – Edna A. (Mocnar) Hoffman, 82, died Thursday December 4, 2008 at the Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center.
Mrs. Hoffman was born in Methuen the daughter of Michael and Catherine (Kuna) Mocnar. A lifelong resident of Methuen Edna was a graduate of the Edward F. Searles High School.
For many years she had been employed with the Internal Revenue Service in Andover before retiring.
Edna was a longtime communicant of Saint Lucy’s Church of Methuen.
She enjoyed traveling, and had an appreciation for the Theatre, and Broadway musicals.
The widow of Philip D. Hoffman, Edna was predeceased by her son Kenneth Hoffman and is survived by children; Philip D. JR., and his wife Kay, Daniel and his wife Silvana, Judith and husband Dana Hall, Kathleen Locke, and Clayton Hoffman and his companion Rose Heroux, one sister Stacia Jasinski, daughter-inlaw Amy Hoffman, 9 grandchildren, 5 greatgrandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Tuesday morning at 12 noon in Saint Lucy’s Church with burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
